HKA design and monitor the installation of mechanical and electrical building services in new, extended or refurbished buildings for commercial, institutional and industrial use.

HKA is committed to providing a quality service to its Clients at all times in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management Standards which include both the environmental management of our office facilities and our design and consultancy services.

HKA are committed to managing our office operations in a sustainable manner by re-using and recycling waste where possible, using recycled office supplies where possible and encouraging responsible energy use among all employees.

In our consultancy services we are very aware of the importance of sustainable development. Continual Professional Development seminars are held on a regular basis in relation to environmental practices which ensure personnel are up to date with environmental issues and best practices in sustainable design.

Elements of sustainability considered by HKA include a wide range of systems such as rainwater harvesting systems, energy assessments, thermal performance, daylighting and natural ventilation, boiler (energy) plant and heating systems, electrical elements such as lighting etc.

As we are involved in a number of extension and refurbishment projects all personnel are experienced in carrying out surveys of existing buildings’ energy systems and building fabric and making recommendations for their improvement, as well as designing new sustainable builds.

HKA are committed to continual development and enhancement of our skills so as to maximise the environmental and sustainability performance in all our projects.
